Morgan’s Wonderland is an ultra-accessible theme park that brings together guests of all ages and all abilities to enjoy over 25 wheelchair friendly rides and attractions. Located in North San Antonio, this park was named on the World’s Greatest Places list by TIME Magazine in 2018.  Morgan’s Playground was designed for special-needs kids and adults, and offers guests of all ages and all abilities to come together and play together.

Morgan’s Wonderland includes more than 30 traditional or adaptive swings including wheelchair swings. The Butterfly Playground has swings and climbing structures on a rubberized surface for safety.  The Whirling Wonder Ferris wheel accommodates wheelchairs and takes passengers over five stories high to see beyond the sprawling theme park. The Wonderland Express is a train that runs around the lake, and the Carousel has special chariots that lift wheelchairs up and down.

Get wet at the WaterWorks splash play pods, or make a sand castle at Sand Circle. The Music Garden has outdoor percussion instruments such as bells and chimes. Check the calendar for performances such as music, dance or comedy at the Starlight Ampitheater.

The Sensory Village is a make-believe town with an auto fix-it shop, grocery store, TV station where you can do a weather forecast, and a stable with mechanical horses to ride.  The Wharf allows youngsters to try catch-and-release fishing on the stocked 8-acre lake, or play with water cannons and remote-controlled pirate ships.

Bring a swimsuit because you will definitely want to get wet!  Throw in a towel, dry clothes and a plastic bag for wet clothes.

  • The entire park is for all abilities.

Know before you go:

  • The park can reach maximum capacity, especially during peak times such as holidays, weekends, school breaks, summer, and times that overlap with parties.
  • Buy tickets in advance online.
  • Free admission to children ages 2 and younger and guests with special needs. See further details on the website for restrictions.
  • Morgan’s Wonderland is a seasonal park and is closed January and February, and is open on select days.
  • Morgan’s Inspiration Island is open during warm-weather season, usually May to September.
  • Food and drink available for purchase. Outside food and drink are allowed, no glass containers.
  • Nearby hotel partners with discounts available on the website.
